Small Wind Turbines is organized as a Limited Liability Company under the laws of the State of Minnesota in the United States and is treated as a partnership for tax purposes. The owners / managers are:

President & Marketing Manager, is founder and project manager of Winkelman’s Environmentally Responsible Construction (WERC), and has more than 30 years experience in construction, conservation-based education and marketing, targeted to national audiences of consumers. His educational background is in biophysics and communications. He has taught contractors, property owners and small businesses through hundreds of seminars utilizing broadcast media to both educate and stimulate community involvement in conservation programs. He has won numerous awards for his work in the field of conservation including the MN Governor’s Green Building Award. His design and implementation of many conservation technologies and products is evident in the award-winning Eco-Domes©. Dave has planned or managed more than 200 wind turbine projects to date. M BauerlyMark D. Bauerly

Chief Manager, has over 35 years experience in the heavy construction industry with direct experience in building interstate highways, airports, along with other state, county and private paving and concrete projects. Together with his five brothers, Mark’s company experienced vast growth to over 800 employees while managing in excess of $200,000,000 in capital expenditures. He is the founder and CEO of Bauerly International Ventures involved in the successful establishment of over ten individual companies that concentrate on mining, infrastructure and renewable energy in Minnesota and the New England states as well as the countries of Brazil and China. He is a graduate of St Cloud state University, has numerous continuing education credits from various industry associations, and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Owner/President Management Program. T BraegelmanThomas P. Braegelmann

Communication Manager, has a degree in Architectural Landscape Design and long standing experience in residential and commercial real estate sales development, construction and management. In addition to his connection with SWT in green energy, he is also associated across the US and globally in such diverse industries as global business development, humanitarian project funding, robotics, municipal water systems, and film production studios. Tom has been with SWT for about one year, and brought the innovative GMI generator technology to the company. Email:

Dan MarrinDaniel M. Marrin

Chief Financial Manager, is responsible for all financial dealings of the company starting July 1, 2009. Dan has a BA in English with minors in German and Music from St John’s University in Collegeville, MN, and an MBA in Finance from St Cloud State University in St Cloud, MN. He has been involved in real estate sales, multifamily and commercial development and management since 1976, and more recently in shore land development, where he developed a 14 unit common interest community from raw land purchase, through planning & platting, unit design, construction and final marketing. John R. Kaliszewski

Business Development Manager has over 35 years of professional experience in telecommunications, renewable energy, applied technology and economic development. As a senior analyst with the U.S. government, he worked with the LANDSAT earth imaging satellite system and the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) transferring technical applications for commercialization in the private sector. He worked with the COMSAT Corporation developing real-time satellite-linked natural resources data collection and monitoring systems. He set up a network of over 250 real-time water resources monitoring stations in Colorado receiving recognition from the National Society of Professional Engineers in 1985 as one of the top 10 engineering projects in the U.S.. He spent 11 years as regional economic development director for a major private foundation focused on investing in technology startups with the capacity to create quality jobs. D WogstadDouglas Wogstad

Technology Manager, has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA in finance and management information systems from the University of Minnesota. Doug began his involvement with the alternative energy field in 2004, assisting in the planning, startup and management of a biodiesel distribution company. He met David Winkelman in 2006 and has joined with him to grow and evolve the Eco-Domes business with a primary focus on the harnessing of wind energy. Doug is involved with business planning and development, design engineering, product development and system sales. He was responsible for the full product development cycle including design, manufacturing, quality assurance and the customer interface. Doug also gained experience in the marketing of technological products as a product manager and a marketing manager.
